Tiltstone – Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed in connection with the mobile game Tiltstone for
Android (package name com.tiltstone.game, the “App”). It is provided in accordance with the EU General Data
Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”), the Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on personal data processing, and
other applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (“CCPA”) and the Children’s Online
Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
1. Data controller and contact
The App is developed and published by an independent developer operating under the name Foro, established in the Czech Republic (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). For the processing described in Section 3 the Developer is the controller. For the processing carried out by Google AdMob (Section 4), Google acts as an independent controller or as a processor as described in Google’s terms.
Contact for any privacy request or question: tapvolution.game@gmail.com.
We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so.
2. Summary
- The App has no user accounts, no sign-in, no chat and no social features.
- We do not operate any server for the App and do not receive, collect or store your personal data ourselves.
- Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device.
- The App shows optional rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob, which processes data as described below.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. Data stored on your device
The App stores your game progress (for example crystals, stars, unlocked levels and boulders, upgrades, achievements, statistics, daily quests) and your settings (for example language, sound, control sensitivity) locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us or to any third party. It may be included in your device’s own backup (for example Android Backup) if you have enabled it; such backups are governed by the provider of your device or account.
The App reads your device’s motion sensor (accelerometer) to steer the boulder. Sensor readings are processed in real time on the device only and are never stored or transmitted.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing the App’s storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App offers optional rewarded video ads: an ad is shown only when you choose to watch one for an in-game reward (for example double crystals after a level, or an extra life in the endless trail). The App does not show interstitial or banner ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (for other users) (“Google”).
When the App requests or shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK integrated in the App may collect and process:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Android advertising ID, App set ID | Ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, personalisation (only with consent where required), fraud prevention |
| Approximate location | Derived from your IP address | Ad delivery and measurement, regulatory compliance (e.g. showing the correct consent form), fraud prevention |
| App interactions | Ad requests, impressions, clicks, rewards granted | Ad delivery, measurement and analytics |
| Diagnostics | Crash logs and performance data of the SDK, device model, operating system version, language | Maintaining and improving the ad service, security and fraud prevention |
This data is collected directly by Google; the Developer does not receive it, apart from aggregated, non-identifying reports (such as the number of ads shown). Google processes it in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. More information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses advertising data.
5. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)
- Storing and accessing information on your device and personalised advertising – based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, implemented in the Czech Republic by Act No. 127/2005 Coll.), obtained through Google’s consent form before ads are requested.
- Non-personalised advertising, ad measurement, security and fraud prevention – based on our and Google’s legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in funding a free game and keeping the ad service safe, where consent is not required by law.
- Local game data (Section 3) – processed solely on your device to provide the game you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
6. Consent and your choices
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent form provided by Google (User Messaging Platform, certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework) is shown before any ad is loaded. You may accept, reject or customise your choices.
- You can review or withdraw your consent at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy & ads. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device).
- Watching ads is entirely optional. You can play the whole game without ever watching an ad.
7. Recipients and international transfers
The only recipient of personal data in connection with the App is Google (AdMob) and its ad partners as described in Google’s policies; the list of Google’s ad technology partners is available in the consent form. Google may transfer data to countries outside the EEA, including the United States. Such transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC is certified, and/or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Retention
Game data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data collected by Google is retained in accordance with Google’s retention policies (see How Google retains data). We do not retain any personal data ourselves.
9. Device permissions
- Internet and network state – to request and show rewarded ads and the consent form.
- Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) – used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described in Section 4.
- Vibration – for optional haptic feedback, which you can turn off in the App settings.
- Wake lock and foreground service – used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and system libraries for reliable ad delivery; the screen is kept on during play.
The App does not request access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country), and its target audience on Google Play is users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us and we will help to have it removed.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data concerning you (Art. 15);
- rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17);
- restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3));
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in your place of residence. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.
Because we do not hold any personal data about you, most requests concern data processed by Google; you can exercise your rights directly with Google via Google’s privacy controls, or contact us and we will assist you. We respond to requests within one month.
12. Notice for US residents
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising ourselves. Google may process personal information for advertising purposes as described in Section 4. Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising. You can opt out of personalised ads through the privacy message shown in the App (where available) and through your device’s advertising settings. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Requests can be sent to the contact address in Section 1.
13. Security
The App does not transmit personal data to us. Communication between the App and Google’s ad services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the App’s features or the law change. The current version is always available at this address, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated. Material changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes on Google Play.
